People not getting their own clothes?

I'm not sure if this is a bug or feature but my people constantly wear clothing out until they are naked. Like there are 10 shirts in the inventory list, but they are too stupid to put one on themselves. I can see not wanting to let them go free for all on the named epic loot stuff, but I feel like they should still figure out to put on a new shirt. In rimworld people will just figure out their own clothes unless you force them to wear a parka, I feel it should be more like that. I'm trying to have fun building a castle, not constantly managing that little children left the house with shoes on.

Thanks for the feedback - we're planning to allow for some autonomy in this area in the near future. Stay tuned!

+1 to some more autonomy on equipping things the kingdom owns -- I've accidentally brought fists to a sword fight when I realized too late that my nobles' equipment had fallen apart.

Possible version: paper doll icon with colors to indicate missing (red) or falling apart (orange) parts. Possibly on hover?

Another possibility: when you hover on their portrait it includes "UNARMED" or "NAKED" or something.

example of possible warning icons for nakedness, missing melee, and missing ranged weapons

I definitely like the RimWorld style of clothing replacement, you can set "usable" durability standards. I'm not sure how intensive it would be to make certain enchanted clothing go to their ideal character, but that would be neat
