Solution/info for broken/missing gear on nobles?

I know you want to overhaul that whole system in one way or the other, but i just had an idea that might already be enough and make managing gear on nobles already way easier: Couldnt you ad a symbol to the portrait if nobles have broken gear equipped or missing a primary or secondary weapon? Otherwise just trigger a want for them if they have that? 

Atm i end up with nobles not having weapons or running around without trousers all the time :D
