How do i load a previous save from over a month ago? Is it possible?

Hey mobb - there's a set of betas on steam you can switch to to play the old build. Use retired_0_25. Let me know if you have any problems!

will doing this also keep the new updates?

No, save compatibility was changed in order to accommodate the new features. You can continue your old save on that branch, but will have to start a new one to experience the new features and characters.
