"Wants" not counting

I have two separate instances of this. First is a want for a chest. "Pickles" only wants an 18p chest, and has a 32p chest in his assigned shack. HOWEVER, this shack used to belong to another noble that wanted the 32p chest (and this satisfied the former owner). That noble deserted the kingdom, so Pickles was assigned that cabin since it already had the chest. But it's not counting. I assume the re-assignment explains why it won't count.

The other one was the noble that left (sorry, didn't remember to paste that screenshot before copying this one, so I lost it). He wanted a T1 41p bedroom. I made a separate building just for that and it ended up with 65p - more than plenty. I was careful not to assign the entire building (shack/cabin), and only to assign the bedroom itself. But it never counted. I got tired of constantly talking to him to keep him around and not being able to satisfy him, ended up finding another (slightly lower-leveled) noble to replace him and let him walk. But now that I went with a lower-level noble, I have one that can't learn how to make half of the stuff that deserted noble could make (even with all of his old gear), so it was really a bigger loss than I thought. (The new noble can't make that 18p chest that Pickles wants!)
