De-scale the price of desired item.
I'm guessing the people's desire for "a glove of value Xp" is scaled off something, like the average value of all items worn or something. Right now it feels way too high, it's probably better for me to break the game and hold all items to 1p and ignore the trading aspect of the game. You already have the pressure mechanic of people wanting more prestige as the kingdom improves, I don't think you need a double mechanic on specific items needing a specific worth.
Partly related to me in a never-ending cycle of not being able to craft fast enough for the supply.

Not sure we'll do anything about this one - stripping a core system like this out is the role of mods I think.
