Tree planting or farming

I notice the trees getting further and further, and its not like my buildings are very big either. The natural regrowth feels too limited. I wish I could plant trees myself - its ok if they take time to grow, foresight is good.

Or allow requesting large volumes of stuff from traders. Either by speaking (didnt check if this already exists...) or by building a market stall or something.
