Freeing opinion vs enslaving

The opinion sway from freeing someone seems a little unbalanced versus enslaving them (or worse) - especially for those with 'Good' alignment. For example, someone who is Good in my fort gets a light green buff for two serfs being freed that lasts for all of one day! On the other hand, someone who is neutral or evil can get negative opinions for freeing someone lasting over 20 years!

In the first place I'd expect that if they're true neutral (and maybe they're not) then they'd either get a fairly random opinion on this event or not have strong feelings (unless they particularly cared about that person). Maybe they'd last a few months or a year one way or the other.

I've opted for healing and freeing most people and I didn't realise until later that this was generating many negative opinions, which probably contributed to one of my best nobles leaving.

I can understand an Evil person thinking that freeing is a stain on the leaders character and it could well last for decades... but I'd expect the opposite in return for freeing them from a Good person!

It also seems a bit unbalanced that they care more about getting a nice hat (or not), remembering this for years, than for how I handled someones freedom... which they can forget about after sleeping (but sure, they are really nice hats!).
